Step 0 — Know your deadline

Both seller AND buyer must appoint an ASP for B2B flows.
Step 1 — Confirm scope
- Business conducted in UAE (mainland or free zone)
- B2B and/or B2G transactions understood
- Structured XML (PINT-AE), not PDF scan
- Revenue band confirmed for your wave
Step 2 — Leadership & budget
- Executive sponsor assigned (CFO / Finance Manager)
- Budget for ASP subscription approved
- Budget for ERP/POS changes if needed
- Finance + IT on same project team
Step 3 — Current state audit
- All invoice-issuing systems listed (ERP, POS, manual)
- Accounts payable / receiving systems listed
- Current workflow documented
- Monthly invoice volume counted (issued + received)
- Key UAE trading partners identified
Step 4 — Master data
- Legal names match trade license
- TRN / TIN accurate for seller and buyers
- Electronic address (scheme 0235) defined
- Full addresses complete
- Line items, VAT rates, currencies consistent
Step 5 — PINT-AE mapping
- MoF Mandatory Fields V1.0 reviewed
- ERP fields mapped to PINT-AE XML
- Gaps identified and plan to fix
- eCreditNote process defined
Step 6 — Select ASP
- MoF accredited / pre-approved list downloaded
- 2–3 ASPs shortlisted for your ERP
- Demos completed
- ASP appointed before your deadline
- Full accreditation confirmed (not only pre-approved)
Step 7 — Integration & testing
- Sandbox / pilot testing done
- Issue + receive flows tested
- Credit notes tested
- Failure / outage procedure documented
Step 8 — People & process
- Finance team trained
- AP team trained on receiving e-invoices
- Suppliers notified of your go-live date
- Written SOP in place
Step 9 — Go-live
- Cutover date before mandatory deadline
- First live invoices validated
- VAT / EmaraTax process still aligned
Step 10 — Ongoing
- ASP notified within 5 days of FTA data changes
- System failures reported to FTA on time
- Annual ASP / ERP review scheduled
Penalties (Cabinet Decision 106/2025)
